Rip Saves The Universe This is a Project I've been working on for a couple years. Not much to look at but I have 2 years of learning, breaking and fixing almost all aspects of creating my Unity Game.
It is a Space Adventure\shooter story, I am told the story is unique, funny, sad and very original. I have spent a lifetime with this story in my head and I have always wanted to write a book but never got to it because of my career.
I had a medical problem a couple years ago that left me in a wheelchair and so to keep busy until I learned to walk again I started playing with Unity and so here I am instead of writing my book I am telling the story through a 3D game.
I have bought over $20,000 ** now $40,000 *** of Unity, Fivrr coders, Voice Actors, CgTrader Assets to make up for my lack of coding and modelling skills. Of course I use Invector for the AI and Controller, it is the best one of my purchases.
I have over 70 of my Invector AI characters working nicely with the 50 or so Weapon models I bought, everything is purchased from the Asset Store, Daz3D or Cgtrader. This is meant to be a very high quality game.
I have a problem where I have almost everything in place but keep installing the newest versions of Unity just to avoid making Cutscenes. I am learning Timeline, CineMachine and Pegasus "with timeline Integration" but my Game will have a ton of Cutscenes and I am avoiding starting that like it's cancer.
I started yesterday playing around with Drones and I can't seem to find to find definitive proof that whatever AI I buy will handle Generic rigs. I am a newbie with Generic rigs.
Emarald AI might do the trick but I can't seem to find proof of that. EDIT: Bought it after posting this and it seems like with some fiddling and creating animations it might work.
So Drones and Cutscenes is basically the only thing I have yet to get into.
Anyway I will be adding videos over time when I hit a milestone in learning or have something cool to show.
For now here is just my drones walking or flying

This is the lighting and post processing that I am happiest with, sadly using URP here but it eventually will be HDRP like it was originally "takes a few minutes to switch no big deal".

Emerald AI .. I got it working on a drone. It patrols, chases, shoots and dies.
After 2 nights of following fixing the Emerald AI Invector Integration tutorials and not getting it to work I finally figured out the problem.
Short Video of the AI Orchid Drone chasing and killing me and my character killing the drone.
The Hard part is done, now to make the projectiles and hit effect not look so stupid then add AI to my other dozen Drones.\

I see this will work out great once I actually know what I am doing and not just clicking buttons.
Actually, I just have to tweak one character perfectly and my other Child characters can share the results too. Same face Morphing for all his characters.

Now into the final stretch. 1 year of making cutscenes, maps now that all the other elements are in place and almost working perfectly.
I am getting better with Lipsync Pro but I know I can do way better. Mouth constantly open problem I need to fix. [Fixed.. Daz3D avatar setup error, replace on Avatar Head --Jaw bone to Chin Bone]
Even though the mouth is not working great (it is now) I think this is kind of cool and when I finally got it working I was so happy.

UPDATE : Lipsync Pro no longer on the Asset Store but it's Free on GitHub.
Getting close to perfect Lipsync. Next emotions and perfect eye movement.
Lipsync Pro on the Asset Store .. I give it a 5 star rating.

Rip and Sam Save This Universe release date 2022 : Invector TPS and Unity 2020.3.0f1 HDRP Quick new Head and Eye Test, lots to show off soon work and time permitting. Mostly testing different Lighting, PP, enviroments, rock models. 200 Gigs of rocks to choose from.

Finally starting Cutscenes, here is my first attempt. Not much to look at (ugly textured terrain) but I now have the basics on how to do this. 1 1/2 years I think making cutscenes and then I'm done.

Update June 05
Item Collection System version 1 is done except for the onscreen elements .. working on that now. -Almost everything in Item Collection System script can be changed in the inspector. -I Can trigger any Event I want like cutscenes, sound, partcles etc.
-Early Testing of Hammer with the Invector Melle Controller *code coming soon to damage rock, then explosion, particles, tiny rock fragments left behind on the ground and sound. -All parts of the Rock Damage script can be changed in the inspector. -I Can trigger any Event I want like cutscenes etc.
Everything is made to work with InVector by a freind

Test of my latest version of the Rock Damage and Item Collection System. I will be changing the look of the system to fit my game then after that make pretty the Items HUD GUI Save Menu and Inventory. Fix Inventory so that it remembers items collected between scenes. That's the easy part by using Procedural Worlds Dialog System and their Extras Menu Save Framework. That is mostly completed already. Cutscenes are in progress. 100 Daz3D characters ready, lots is ready to go into the final build. Cutscenes Cutscenes Cutscenes .. can't delay that any further but I worry it will not turn out well. I am doing all the voice acting and movie making .. I am no voice actor and certainly not Steven Spielberg. *** Got help from Fiverr for cutscenes
