Guys,
I don't want to spend too much time on this so thought I'd shout out to the community. Any way I can easily stop dropping items when I am dead ?
Regards, Tharindu

The default behaviour is not drop items when you die, perhaps you check this option on the Item Manager?

The default behaviour is not drop items when you die, perhaps you check this option on the Item Manager? It's not enabled. I think I gave the wrong description for my issue. Problem is let's say I have three items, I consume one, when I come back it needs to be 2. But instead it's 3. I am assuming it has something to do with the use of ItemReference and not Item which makes fair sense because Item is a Scriptable Object. So I am just asking if there's a way around it anyone has figured out, without having to go for something like EasySave 2.

Oh right... we don't have any of that because it would basically be a save/load system, we would need to know if enemies were kill, chest's were open, etc... and that's not really the focus of the template.
Chronicman did a inventory integration with EasySave 2 but I'm not ready if it's still working with current versions though

Which is why I was wondering if anyone went that way easily. I am directly using the Scriptable Objects for my quest system however. I provided a few in editor functions to reset statuses for testing. The idea is to create a main copy and duplicate it for each new game and such, so that you'll have an autosave sort of feature without having the need for something like EasySave 2. Problem I ran into was current items. I guess I will have to maintain a current count and use it to add those items to the player's item manager on respawn. This way I can keep the acquired quest items without being destroyed when the player dies.

Where is the option for "Drop items when dead" in the newer version? I use 2.5.5. 2.6b is a little downgrade for my project
