Hello,
I'm wondering whether anyone has been able to set up a generic rig with the shooter components? I've followed the generic melee tutorial available on YouTube but have not been able to find any information regarding the feasibility of a generic character using weapons.
Basically I had in mind that I would like these enemies to be able to shoot projectiles from a distance, so If I could simply hide the weapon mesh whilst modifying the particle appearance then I might be able to get this to work. Unfortunately I've not been able to have any success so far however.
If anyone has any insight into ways to make this work it would be really appreciated,

You could create a simple ai and attach a vShooterWeaponBase to it, then call the method to shot when you needed, similar to what we do with the Turrets for the Builder Add-on

Sorry for the noob question, im totally new to all this and am trying to make a generic shooter AI, (a little drone that hovers around and shoots) and i have everything working apart from it just doesnt shoot. Any help would be very much appreciated other than this so far the shooter controller and FSM ai templates have been amazing and super easy to use, im sure im probably just being an idiot with this one thing.

Hi, I'm sorry that I didn't respond to this, given that I asked the question too. If you've not got it working already, from what I recall you can make use of 'Send Message' action in the AI FSM behaviour to send a message to the AI message receiver component. From the message receiver you can then reference the vShooterWeaponBase and call the shoot function. There may be a better way, but this worked for me.

The Social tutorials got old and You delete shooterai in in vector list what can we do now whitout anything please when you add some something update your Tutorial
