Hello I am currently using the Version 2.6.0c - October 11, 2021 of the Third Person Controller - Shooter Template. Can you please provide me with some steps on how to implement a custom projectile for the pistol weapon? I have duplicated the vHandgun_Inventory object and created a vMagicWand_Inventory object. That works fine, it shoots the vDefaultBullet without any problems once I adjust the muzzle. However I am having problems replacing the vDefaultBullet object with a custom magic projectile from the following: Toon Projectiles 2 assetstore.unity.com/packages/vfx/particles/spells/toon-projectiles-2-184946 |

No, I tried that already and it doesn't work for this situation. The goal is basically for the pistol weapon to shoot/ spawn a projectile. In this video, the fire is just playing a set animation from a set point in front of the player. Thanks anyways, currently as a compromise I have modified the bullet and made it bigger and shaped it like a fireball and colored it blue. However it would be nice to be able to use a nice looking projectile instead.

I haven't messed around with much of the shooter stuff except the archery, and I haven't had to mess with the arrow particles yet... so I can't help much at this point. Hopefully some one will come along that knows more than me.

No problem I figured out how to create a Shooter Weapon from scratch and how to assign it cool looking magic projectiles. I also added Melee Attack to the Magic Wand so now my player can shoot and attack with the magic wand or any other cool weapon that I want to use without having to switch between melee weapon and shooter weapon.
