I'm using playmaker and Naninovel and I'm trying to stop melee character movement when the Naninovel dialogue starts. I've tried set property/unable, but I can't find the correct component. During the 2d dialogue, I can still punch and jump. Anyone know how to lock him down? Obviously I can't use time scale.

You can call the method SetLockAllInput(true) or SetLockMeleeInput(true) from the vThirdPersonInput component
