I have a simple scene setup with a Topdown Controller. I placed a small cube with a BoxCollider set to trigger in the scene as collectible. If i try to walk through the collectible the characters steps on it. If i stop on the collectible, the character slowly sinks into it.
I successfully tried to remove the collider and went through the object to proof that there is nothing else that interacts.

When using a trigger always change the layer to "Triggers" as well, the "Default" layer is the one we use to detect ground surface
