Can You Use 3rdPerson Shooter To Create Adventure Games?

Hi I was wondering if you can use 3rd Person Shooter template to also create non shooting games such as passive Adventure/Exploration games where you interact with NPCs. I have FSM AI Template too. I'm not a programmer but know little bit of basic scripting such as Changing scenes etc.

I also want to use the Shooting part in some games but other games i dont , i just want to move around and collect and use stuff and talk to NPCs etc and interact with environment

Some scenes can have a controller setup for shooting and some scenes setup a controller for adventure.
Each scene can have a different types of controller. Remove Shooter components from you Invector character and your left with Invector Basic controller. Turn off Inputs on your Invector shooter like Aim and the shooter will not react like a shooter.
for my game I made a script where I can switch between 25 different models with controllers in the same scene.

My game has no combat but I am using the Melee Controller.
