Ok so basically when using terrain my character is stuck in the fall animation. On occasion it will go into the walk animation, but as soon as it hits a small bump it falls again. I have tried messing around with the grounded variables at runtime to no avail. Does anyone know WTF to do. Terrain is set to default in the layers. Step offset start/end is 0.45 Step smooth is 1 Slop limit 102 Extra Gravity -16 ragdoll vel -16

magicbanana Check your capsule collider height, not sure if this is an issue anymore, but it would do this before if the capsule collider height was greater than 2. Also on the vthirdpersonController script, make sure that the ground layer is set to the same layer that you wish to walk on.

That usually happens when you character can't find the ground, reset to the original settings and start modifying again to see what caused the issue

I think we had a similar problem not long ago where someone was using a special terrain asset that effectively created two terrain objects on top of each other. One was invisible and set to a layer that was collidable but not listed in the ground section for the controller.
Do you have any special assets to control your terrain?

Make sure your character is not scaled >> handle your scaling with the model import settings. Make sure, you have no extra colliders on your player and all child transforms are set to "BodyPart" layer. Really strange indeed...

Thanks everyone I'm the dickhead though. Basically I was messing around with a character controller integration and I deleted the capsule collider by mistake instead of the cc.
