I am trying to figure out how to be able to crouch and perform an attack like punch.
I have removed the cc.IsCrouching check in vMeleeCombatInput.cs, added an isCrouching check to the FullBody->Attack Animation Layer and added a punch animation to UpperBody layer that is triggered with WeakAttack.
This "kind of" works except the player punches to the right when crouching and doesn't really look right. I am thinking I am over working this and there is probably a much better way to achieve this.
Has anyone implemented a crouch + punch capability that would like to provide some guidance.

Well you could simply create a subState animation just for crouch attacks with a condition to enter if it's crouched and add a crouch puch animation.
btw if you use the idle crouch animation as base to create the punch it will fit just fine

InvectorThanks for the advice, I will look at creating some animations off the crouch idle. One further question, do you have any advice on being able to integrate something like FinalIK so I can make hands "move" towards a target more naturally (it could be used for other action animations as well). I have looked through the forums and haven't seen anyone mention it so am thinking it might be too big a task (or does this template provide it's own IK framework that I haven't seen yet)
