I'm using the basic locomotion lite version for my 3rd person rpg and I'm having an issue (I'm assuming due to the rigid body of the character) when running on slopes. When going up my character kind of launches into the air at the peak of the slope rather than smoothly transitioning to the flat surface, and when going down she just flies off the ground instead of trying to run downhill.
Also, I have foot placement IK script added to my character that I can't seem to get to work properly with the rigid body physics. It works just fine with the character controller but the basic locomotion script requires the use of rigid body.
Is there any way to adjust the script so that I can use a character controller instead of a rigid body?

For the issue with slopes, make sure you do not scale your character using the transform. If you need to scale the character always use the Scale Factor from the fbx. (warning: this will break your prefab.)
About your IK solution, I think every custom character controller use a rigibody component instead the old 'character controller' from unity, so there is no work around there, try to update your IK solution to one that doesn't need the old cc component.
