I'm following the video tutorial, but when I rotation the defaultEquipPoint, the left hand is always in a strange position instead of underneath the gun for support. I've tried 2 different humanoid models, but the same thing is happening in both. See attached image.

Have you tried moving the equip point forward? Cause it seems like it would fit snug in that hand (the gun).
Cheers! Nuke

Yeah, I've made the gun fit mostly correctly in the hand, but it still doesn't fix the left hand issue, which is always jammed backwards against the right forearm.

Just watch our video tutorial again, you need to use the IK Rotation Offset from the ShooterManager to rotate the left hand into the correct position ;)
This happens because every model has his own bone rotation orientation, so we need to create a offset to fix that.

I see those parameters now, but the video doesn't have them. Is there a newer video than this one?
Because even with trying to do that I can't get it right.

Make sure you don't have any errors going on at the Console, if your character is missing bones for example a head or neck bone, it could cause issues with the headtrack and the shooter won't work properly

No, no errors. I'm just not sure how to adjust the IK rotation and what to do with it when I'm done. I followed a similar approach as the rest of the video. I adjusted those IK until it looked good and then I copy and pasted the values after exiting play mode. But then the character had his left arm stuck up in the air when running around.

Hi Magique. Be sure to be in play mode while editing the IK. Make sure you are only rotating/moving the transform of the DefaultEquipmentPoint which is located in the bone hierarchy of your character, and not the weapon itself. Be sure to copy and paste in the new values for the DefualtEquipmentPoint since you're in play mode and those settings will not be saved.
After the weapon is in the correct rotation you will notice the lefthand is usually quite twisted, to fix this you will need to select the player character, and click on the shooter manager script drop-down in the inspector. About halfway down you will see IK offset; you will need to play with these numbers until the left hand matches as you'd like. Every model will be different so you will just have to modify the offsets to your liking.
Hope that helps.
