Hello, I'm a newbie and I'm either not good at English.
I recorded a video for you this is the link.
As you can see in the video, the first time I created a character it seems to be work very well but after I replace a prefab, save, or load scene these enemy AI will not follow the character, so I have to recreate a new player prefab every single time into the scene. This problem happens to me so far and I don't know how to fix it.
Thank you.
ps. this problem also happens with a companion AI too.

Hi, Do you think you can re upload the video showing the contents of the player and the inspector during game ? I have a feeling something is actually going and modifying your player prefab. Need to see all of the scripts on inspector on the player object in play mode when the issue happens.

Firstly that game looks fantastically laid out, well done. Secondly I am not sure why you drag the prefab over the top of the one in the project folder, to me it looks as though you are making it a child of itself which is weird, if you highlight the controller prefab and go to the inspector tab, you can see three buttons "select revert apply", just click apply and it will update the prefab in the project folder to the same settings you have in the scene. Also, the reason the AI would not follow your player is because it's tag or its layer is not set to "player" on the parent, so I am assuming the prefab you have in your folder does not have the tag set properly and each time it loads in it's not appearing as the "player". But yeah like tharindu said, if you can record the video with the inspector showing we might be able to better problem solve.
Also please upload a video where you backstab that guard! :D

Thank you for your answers.
I managed to re-imported the package and everything is alright for now.
Anyway, I'm so sorry for the video when I stab the guard from the back because after I re-imported the package, many things need to fix either included the backstab system.
Appreciate that. You guys are so kind.

You probably imported another 'complete project' package and overwrite the Project Settings which contains all the layers, tags, inputs, etc... that's why it wasn't working correctly. btw* this looks really great! feel free to create a W.I.P thread to show your progress or to have feedback
