is there any possibility you combine your work with shades and insomnia ? i think you 3 can make great system that people really looking for. xD
The two systems are indepdent units and as such should function pretty well together. I don't think an integration is necessary. Even if it was, I am not sure I have the time to manage it with my day job and supporting the rpg pack amongst other things
I've thought long and hard about how I should release the dialog system I've been working on for the past few months.
It has now come really far than the simple dialogue system I initially intended to allow for some basic conversations in the RPG Pack. It's really evolved beyond that as a tool that rivals some of the best dialogue tools on the asset store right now, and allows you to expand the scope of your game by bringing in some really cool conversation material.
As such I have been in a dilemma, whether to sell this as a separate asset or sell this as a paid upgrade to the RPG Pack. I never intended to release the dialogue system for free, but since a few users had confided in me that they had liked to see a dialogue system in the RPG pack, I don't want to throw them under the bus either.
So the solution I came up with is this.
The dialogue system will be available as a paid upgrade to the RPG pack. Rest assured it will not be the full price of the asset; but it'll be a very affordable price around ; as a thank you for the support you've given me with the RPG Pack.
The asset will also be sold separately on the asset store and sellfy when ready but at higher price point, around 30$ mark.
I will cut off the upgrade path completely in a few weeks after release and go back to selling the assets separately. Those who own both assets will continue to have access to them and will also receive updates.
Following are some of the features of the upcoming dialog system
Node based Editor
Branching conversations and trigger-based shouts
Global and Local Variables System
Game Event System for action execution on dialogues
A few nodes, but a lot of functionality. Accept user inputs, make decisions etc
Lock/Unlock conversations as you progress
Comfortable localization
Runtime Debugger
I feel this is a very reasonable decision considering I spent months developing the editor, and I need to make that time worthwhile for myself just as much as I make it worthwhile for you who purchase my assets.
Dialog systems that are actually feature rich and worth a damn in the asset store are priced above the 50$ mark and more respectively. The same goes for other RPG assets that offer similar functionality to what I have here. Many of these don't have a reasonable integration with invector or other controllers, making them difficult to deal with unlike the RPG pack which is moderately priced. I intend to make the dialogue system one such tool too.
how much will it cost together EViLA's RPG Pack v1.2.2 and Dialogue System?
Will post here when I have thought more. It has to be affordable, but also has to be a meaningful amount for me the developer. Stand alone price of the dialogue system will for sure be around 30$.
Hey i was asking about an issue with the cursor dissapearing/getting stuck in the vendor screen after doing a trade over on Youtube yesterday. Everything else works fine (trades are successful), but after every sell or buy action i'm stuck in the vendor screen with no option to select or highlight anything. After you exit and interact with the vendor again it works fine until the next trade.
There's a video tutorial on how to set up your vendor system and the guy is having the same issue

Oh yeah this is a problem with the prefab. The problem's with the prefab not setting the selection on the last item. Can I share the fixed prefab with you over gmail or skype or something ? These issues were fixed weeks ago and I am stuck not being able to upload the new fixes to UAS thanks to 2018 issues -_- It's easier to give you the fix rather than wait for UAS to help me fix the problem with the uploads.

yep. You already have these though I believe. I sent over Skype. Check if the version is 1.2.2_03 or 1.2.3 both should be same.
Currently stuck a bit with asset store uploads as finally even though asset store fixed my issues, now as per recent policies they require you to maintain at least 3 examples of previous projects as a portfolio either in my private website or a unity connect profile. I will need to quickly put together some demos just for sake of updating this profile before unity asset store accepts the RPG Pack update -_________-

Yep and I just don't have the time to put together a decent game. To top things off I am leaving for italy on business the day after and for a month. I am just going to put something together quickly and make a demo on how to use the dialog system with the RPG Pack. Nothing else I can do, unity better accept it lol
